On Tuesday, I was invited to attend The Macmillan Prize for Illustration 2016's private view and awards event. I had submitted my 'Mindfulness Exercises' project to the competition sometime in April, and my work was highly commended and selected to be exhibited in Foyles, Charing Cross, in London.
There were 21 illustrators chosen out of just under 250 entries, so it was a huge honour to have my work selected by a great list of judges. I received some really positive feedback about my work, and it was helpful to see what professionals working in the industry thought about the project.
Overall, it was a wonderful evening and it was great to meet and talk to other emerging illustrators in their final year of education. My work will be up in the gallery at Foyles until the 21st of July, so if you're out in London, definitely check it out!
